Mrs. Megan Whitty, Director of Bands

Mrs. Whitty is very excited to begin her 21st year of teaching and her second year at Alamo Heights Junior School. She is a native of Tennessee and received her bachelor’s degree in Music Education from Tennessee Technological University in 2004 and her master’s degree in Instrumental Conducting from the University of Florida in 2010. She has been teaching band for 20 years in Iowa, Tennessee, Florida and Texas. Megan and her husband Ross love living in San Antonio with their two boxers (Callie and Finnegan) and their four cats (Max, Taco, Rosie and Betty). She is looking forward to sharing the world of music with all her students and making them a proud member of the wonderful Alamo Heights band family!  Mules Up!

​Mr. Hunter Stockton, Assistant Director

​Mr. Stockton is a San Antonio native and holds a Bachelor's Degree in Music Education from Texas Tech University.  He served as an assistant band director at Frenship High School in Wolfforth, Texas for 3 years.  His primary instrument is Tenor Trombone.  His brass experience includes 2 seasons as a baritone player for the Santa Clara Vanguard Drum and Bugle Corps, as well as 2 seasons of brass instruction with the Guardians Drum and Bugle Corps where he is currently serving as the Assistant Brass Caption Head.  Mr. Stockton is very excited to join the AH-mazing staff at Alamo Heights!  Go Mules!
